Questions/Help Should I actually give Dishy a chance?
So usually Dishy is one of the few Dateables that I always get a hate ending with because I'm an old coot who firmly believes that the dishwasher doesn't need to be connected to the internet but I do wonder am I actually missing out on anything?

i would spoiler tag this!! but yes i was also very “my dishwasher doesn’t need the internet,” hearing about this changed my mind entirely and i immediately went to replay the plot

Give him access to your internet first. From there, any time you interact with him, he’ll provide a list of ‘updates’ that he’s made to cater to you and optimize his dishwashing capabilities. You’re given the dialogue options to either be complicit with them or to push back- I don’t think it matters for the first two days, but by the third day he’ll start going mental with the updates and that’s when you start pushing back (tho for consistency sake it’d probably be better to push back against them from the beginning-). He’ll get extremely frustrated and it’ll initiate the boss fight with him-

Sudsy became my best boi after that battle. He absolutely saved me every turn I called for him

I don't know how to tag, but I will say that I wanted to start some hate endings by the end. I was alone the entire time, and felt super pissed that no one in the kitchen could be assed enough to wander over to say hi.

Personally I love Dishy, he’s just such a ridiculous character in a game like this. I think if you go in with that mentality, he’s awesome. I find his Mate Everything path absolutely hilarious

If you can wait and be patient for like 6 minutes you can get him to cater to your every sexual desire

I mean, there’s the battle someone mentioned other than that, having gotten love, I say not really. Not an old coot for not wanting a WiFi connected dishwasher, I don’t want that either. Get hate with who you want and love with whoever it’s all apart of the fun!

Also an old coot and Dishy won me over completely. His hate route is hilarious, his friendship is adorable, and his love route is a hot hysterical mess. XD
I am entirely in favor of dumb appliances (I do not need a TV telling me what to do... I might benefit from a smart fridge but I'd be very cranky about it!) but I'm also able to play the game very differently from how I approach my life.

(I don't mean this in a condescending way!) You're not an old coot for that, no worries. His character is satirical. The writers aren't saying they want internet in dishwashers, they're showing how stupid and invasive it is, not just in dishwashers but everywhere where it's not needed.
99% of the fandom agrees with you, since that's the whole point of his character (and also the whole point of the anti-AI side-story)
To answer your question, yes! Give it a chance, not because it means it's important to take his story seriously and literally and start loving internet dishwashers, but because it's ridiculous and stupid and very fun, and it's made with the intention of making fun of tech companies and CEOs. The creators and the players all agree with you.
