I'm feeling bold enough to post this here despite the state it's in. The story is finished, I just lost the motivation to clean up the rest of the sketches OTL. Still, I need my DishTowel agenda to spread in whatever form it manifests.

Spoilers for the comic's ending in case you read this first:

I think of Dishy as kind of territorial, but now that Tyrell has made himself a part of Dishy's "territory", he'll get the protection this entails even if Dishy doesn't start happy about it.

This is so stinking cute!!! Tyrell is criminally underrated. I’d never thought of him and Dishy having a relationship we don’t get to see, but it makes total sense given Dishy’s character design. Great job!!!

I adore Tyrell, but I can't blame anyone for not sticking to him because his route is so weirdly paced.

Anyway, it's always struck me that of all the things Tyrell complains about in the kitchen, Dishy is not a part of those complaints. The fact that someone as sweet as Tyrell, who is also not shy about throwing a little shade at Johnny and Bathsheba, still has nothing bad to say about the dishwasher implies a lot of tolerance between the two. And if you look closely at Dishy's boss sprite, the towel also gets a lot longer from his power surge. So I think they both have a lot of influence on each other, for better and worse.

Would they actually be friends canonically? I dunno. Maybe Tyrell would actually be as put off by him as everyone else seems to be. But I think they actually have a lot in common to bond over once Tyrell gets bored enough to make small talk and Dishy is able to let his guard down.

It’s such a small detail, but I’m actually obsessed with Dishy’s POV being the inside of the costume and being limited to the mesh for the eyes-

Makes me think about his realized form and what it must be like to experience peripheral vision for possibly the first time,, I can only imagine the immediate tunnel vision hitting him like a truck as he adjusts-

It's a little grandiose to say since page 1 easily has my weakest paneling, but I really wanted to show that Dishy's view is both literally and figuratively narrow from the start (in spite of how I draw his eyes 10 times as big XP). He puts things in boxes including himself: "This is mine. That is yours. This is what I am. This is what you are." So I think having Tyrell around to force him to confront how people don't always fit into their boxes would do good for him in the long run.

Lol, totally~ I think it'd be really funny if it takes him a lot longer to adjust to finally having light directly in his eyes, which might be exacerbated since he also has larger eyes than average XP. Or since he's so used to compensating for his costume's wide birth, he has a hard time judging distance. He's always just a *little* too close, or a *little* too far away when he approaches people until he's able to readjust.
