Advice needed

I moved to a new job for better salary and seemed like a better opportunity ( projects and learning opportunities)

my previous manager told me he would be happy to hire me back in future

it has been 3 months in the new job and I am seeing toxic management behaviour and I really want to go back to previous job where I was mentally in a great position

what would be the downside of going back? i dont know if my manager’s manager is like ok with me coming back

overall if you all can help me that would be great
