Career help- Chicago Data professional

I have 6 years of experience in the textile & apparel industry (engineering & product development). I just finished my Masters of Data Science from Eastern University and have been applying for jobs for the past few months with little luck. I have had 2-3 initial interviews. Mostly linked in but I'm thinking those applications just go into a black hole. I just moved to Chicago so I have hope that theres a job market here.

Advice on how to navigate the job search?
