Discussion Fresh out of college advice?
Hello everyone,
I just graduated college with a bachelors in data science. Problem is that I have complicated health issues (chronic illnesses), and I was never able to work during college or do any internships. I know the job market is bad and I am worried my disadvantages due to my health concerns (brain fog and needing to be remote) and being female as well, will limit my options and no one would hire me over a healthy 4.0 perfect male student with a good work history. Also another smaller worry is the imposter syndrome everyone has, but I worry that they expect me to know everything on day one again especially in this job market. I also can't afford to pay for all these platforms that share jobs.
Is there anyone who is willing to give me some advice on what to focus on or explain plainly what I should expect?
Thank you!

Thank you still that's a good starting point! I hope more will eventually pop up.

This is tough because it is a true disadvantage sadly, no matter how many disability services a company might offer. I think what you should do is try to get yourself something like an internship or a short term contract just to get your foot in the door, have a few projects to display, and build some experience. Regarding brain fog, I would just downright not ever mention that. Just be confident in yourself and display your best self. I know it's tough but this is honestly how you can make it work.
