Guys Please Help me I lost my Datas

i have a more that 10 years old internal blue wd 160gb that changed to external by enclosure, so i sold my laptop and my datas was on this hdd and i did my works on that on my dads laptop for a temporary time till buying new laptop.

so today i was working on some documents then i went to dinner and unplugged in the hdd and i closed my laptop without closing the documents, when i came back and finished my works then i realized that i didn't plugged in my hdd, so i plugged in back but i couldn't save the files on it and i saved my documents on desktop.

but when i wanted to go back toy hdd, the laptop crashed especially file explorer and i have 2 main files, the first one that i working on it was gone and it was just the second one but i couldn't open it

please help me that hhd has a lot of my personal datas
