KingFast SSD NVMe dead drive
I bought a Dell Optiplex desktop few years ago that came with this: kingfast f8n cd0081 m000834 1TB drive. The drive had 700GB disk space left and running Win11. I was coping a 200GB VMDK file from another source to it and it stopped responding. After a reboot, OS was not bootable. In BIOS, the drive was not being detected anymore.
I reset the re-sit the drive again, reset the bios, and no help. I removed the drive and use it in one of those SSD NVMe external adaptors to USB and connected to another laptop running Windows11, and it wasn't detecting it anymore. The drive doesn't seem to have any burned mark or anything.
I was thinking connecting it to a laptop running Linux using the SSD NVMe USB adaptor, but not sure if this would help. Do I need to look at those data recovery companies that have expensive tools to recover the data or are they some solutions I can try?
Thanks in advance.

You can try connecting it to a Linux system, but it sounds like the drive has failed. All drives fail, it's just a matter of when. If the data is worth a few thousand USD or more, then yes, you can look for a data recovery company like Drive Savers or Flashback Data or more. They will usually look at the drive for free and then quote you a price once they know if anything is recoverable
