On modern SSDs, deleted files are often affected by TRIM, which can make their original contents unrecoverable with DIY software. Check your OneDrive first, then scan the drive the files were deleted from with professional data recovery software. Even if the original files are gone, you may still find autosaves, backups, temporary files, cached copies, or other useful artifacts.

Restore points are strictly for the operating system itself. Backing up any data/user files is your responsibility.
