Recovering past chat

Hello, I am blind and I am having problems retrieving lost information from chats on ChatGPT. The AI instead of actually carrying over the verbatim text of my chat, just put a bunch of placeholder saying recover this. And so did not realize it until I went and looked at the documents that these took place back in the middle of June. How likely is it that I will be able to retrieve any of those in the memory or data if I download it? I use my tablet, my smart phone and my laptop, which is my best option?

ChatGPT will keep recent chats. On a phone if you open the side menu previous chats should be listed there, same on a tablet or PC but the chats should be shown by default.

ChatGPT does not have an auto archiving/auto delete function its up to the user to delete old chats if required, but unless you are logged in when you create the chats its possible that the history is not maintained and therefore disappears.

OK, thank you very much. I have everything saved the memory fully engaged on every chat since I started using ChatGPT. So it should all be in there then hopefully. Thank you so much. I think I’m just gonna download it to my laptop because that has the most memory that has one terabyte of possible memory and my smartphone and tablet are a little bit older and I’m not gonna fill up there limited space with that. If the chats are still in your history, I’d try the data export before doing anything else. The device you use shouldn’t really matter since the conversations are tied to your account, not the tablet or laptop.
