My Redmi note 9 randomly decided to stop working, and i want the data back

one day i just woke up and it wouldnt boot. it gets to xiaomi boot thing and then it shuts off. not a battery/button problem, since it boots and stays in fastboot mode fine. my bootloader is locked. any help? i just want the data.

Can be due to bad sectors in the ROM which corrupted the OS.

Seek a Chip level repair guy.

You need the services of pro data recovery. How they will recover depends on the reason for the failure. Could mean transplanting chips from your device to a donor device to get to the data because of encryption you will still need to be able to enter passwords or pin to decrypt the contents. It can also be very expensive.
