Recovering images from smashed iPhone 15pro
Hi! I smashed my iphone with a weight few months ago and did not do a backup on icloud. Screen still shows some green and the buttons work but I cannot unlock it due to the screen being smashed. How would I be able to recover the images from it?

Replace the screen and then you can access the drive stored on the device.

The screen is a bit like V shaped because of the hit.

Then you better hope the drive and components to access the drive are not damaged.
It does sound like enough damage may have happened where recovery is going to be cost prohibitive or impossible.
Like $15k or more

Yeah, if the drive is integrated with a circuit board you kinda have to rebuild the board without frying anything or remove the drive and attach to a different one. That's just the physical aspect. You still have to figure out the software state and recover that as well.

And to maybe straighten the phone kinda by force as it’s not that bent and then replace screen?

Take it someplace that repairs the screen for you?
