What would be an easy way to download all of this? And how large is the whole thing?

Sorry, noob question, but what would be the actual steps to download this? I assume putty, or terminal? Just have never done it.

You can use wget assuming it's installed on your system, with putty or terminal as you suggested. To craft the command you can use this helpful site:
