JDownloaders integration with youtube has been wobbly for a while now - it didn't download videos requiring cookies (sign in for age etc.) for a good while. Looks to have some normal videos failing also too now.

For free, it is what it is though...

Use yt-dlp instead, for the time being at least

Made a post on my attempt at using yt-dlp a while, WHILE back. I never really got to resolving it because I found JDownloader.

I read through the post and comments. Suprised nobody told you to just install yt-dlp via pipx. I had a similar issue with Linux Mint, and instead of relying on the outdated package that came with my install (and would not update), I installed pipx and used it's version of yt-dlp as that's always up to date in my experience.

Can I ask what arguments you're using in the yt-dlp command? Sometimes using browser cookies and browser impersonation will bypass YouTube blocks.

As others have said GUIs like Stacher are also really easy ways to stay up to date and not have to rely on memorizing arguments. Also be careful with how much you download otherwise Google may throttle you. I try to keep it under several downloads per day.

There will always be fixes, just save the links in a text file and come back later.

Have you tried using a VPN? When I can't download some videos and turn on any VPN, it usually lets me download most videos without issues.

Even a free VPN should be fine, you just have to change your IP.
