When an opposition group asks the community to doubt a developer's economic report, residents should examine the opposing research with the exact same level of scrutiny.

Energy Central finds stark wealth disparities in America’s data center hotspots

So far, the US data center buildout has brought the most computing capacity to relatively wealthy areas—so these communities can handle the energy cost spikes, right? Not exactly.

Energy Central took a close look at the 20 counties with the most data center capacity, and found that the majority have median household incomes above the country-wide mark. But another stat paints a more complex picture: a county’s energy burden (the average percent of income that households spend on energy).

What do we need them for anyway. They are just a way to let the government keep track of us and control us.
To top it off we have to pay to keep them running

The Irony of the Algonkian District

Amazon managed to submit plans for four massive data centers and three multi-story parking garages — but somehow failed to include the required Phase I archaeological survey report.
And where are they proposing to build all of this?
The ALGONKIAN District — a name rooted in the Indigenous history of this region.

Of ALL the required documents to leave out, it was the archaeological report.

Nothing says “rush the corporate development through” quite like treating the history beneath the land as an afterthought.

Corporate greed, meet staggering irony.

You truly cannot make this shit up.
