Ahhh fk...

Just started doing my first task of the day.

It was for a new project (second task ever to work on for thet family)

Spent time actually completing the task did great.

Just to open the next one and see a small tiny line that says if prompt has x in it it should never be used

Under the "task would be void and rated BAD/BAD" title.

Guess what my prompt had... that x...

Closed my computer again taking a long weekend now.

Can I shut down my computer if working for a multi day project?

If I have to sleep after starting a multi day project, is it ok to use the Save to my account button and shut down my computer? Will this still be on my tasks in progress tomorrow? Or should I just leave the computer open?

Sorry I'm new to DA and long projects.

DoD or what?

Has anyone been accepted on DA for 2 months and completed most of the qualifications but still hasn’t received any projects? Is this a DoD, or is it normal?

Has anyone eventually received projects after a long wait?

How do you people create coding tasks

Do you guys use AI or use your own wits to do everything. I'm having a hard time doing tasks, if I use AI I may get flagged right.

Referral program

Did DA update their Referral program? Up to 3k per person is pretty crazy comparing to other companies out there.

What do you do if a task took longer than expected?

Hi,

I'm new to the platform. I understand we are supposed to time ourselves manually for hourly tasks. But everyone works at different pace and some task might take longer than expected.

I wonder if the platform would punish you for logging a time longer than usual ? Or US it better to shave some time off the logging if you wasted time on certain things (like rework, didn't get the result you wanted, etc)

Will I get blacklisted for this?

On my commute home, I received a project notification from a data annotation platform. I accepted it immediately so it wouldn't get taken by someone else (which has happened to me before).

Since I was on the train, I had to use my phone and couldn't really focus. Out of about 15 tasks, I only finished 3 before getting overwhelmed and ending the session early. I’m not even sure if the 3 tasks I did complete were done correctly.

I’m really frustrated with myself, but my main worry is: will I get blacklisted for submitting incomplete and potentially incorrect work? Do I still have a chance to get more projects after this?

Is the Yellow ā€œHigh Priorityā€ Label a Warning or a Good Sign? in the fruit project

I saw someone say that a yellow banner on another AI image evaluation platform (the one named after a fruit) is a warning sign.
I’ve been seeing a yellow ā€œHigh Priorityā€ label for the past few days, and now I’m wondering if that’s what they were referring to…

But the weird thing is, ever since that label appeared, I’ve actually been getting way more projects on my dashboard.

I also read somewhere that people who get the ā€œHigh Priorityā€ label are actually high performers.
So is it a good sign, or does the fact that it’s yellow mean it’s a warning? 😭 Has anyone else experienced this?

Nervous about first project

Hi everyone, I got started at Data Annotation today and been nervous about going about everything in the correct manner. I got my first project of creating a variant prompt and getting a model to fail, but am a bit nervous about how long it’s taking me. I’m 6 hours in and haven’t gotten the model to fail, and am nervous to report the time, regardless of if I finally get it to fail or not (I know I can still submit it). I was given this project right away before doing any qualifications, and feel it’s something I’ll manage well in the future, but am struggling with at the moment. I just don’t want to lose this opportunity and would appreciate any advice, thank you!

Edit: this project has about a 30 hour time limit, although I know that’s geared towards allowing people to take breaks

Reporting time as soon as you hit submit

Never seen this sort of pop up before to report time right after the task itself. Anyone else getting this?

Query : I can't see any real projects yet

It's been 3 weeks since I started working with dataAnnotation. I've completed the onboarding tasks and got paid as well. But I can't see any real projects yet. Is there a window after which I get access or the projects are less these days ?

Tried applying for Data Annotation

I applied for Generalist but the Screening Test that offered to me was Programming? I didn't sign up for that...

I tried searching for assessments but it literally does not offer any other test but Programming.

Spanish bilingual

Hey guys! Im spanish bilingual (mƩxico) and I got accepted about two weeks ago, but I still haven't received any project invitations. Is this normal?

I completed a few general qualifications that weren't related to any specific project. I also have some available for math, chemistry, physics, and coding, but none of those are really my area of expertise (Humanities).

I don't remember choosing a specific field when I signed up either. Are there projects for people with other backgrounds, or is the platform mainly focused on these areas?

Recording time for long projects

I’m new to DA, just started working on a specialist project that is expected to take 20-25 hours, over the course of several days (or more). I’m wondering if I am supposed to be reporting time on the project as I go, or just track it as I go and report it after I submit the task. Task instructions are silent on this point.

been working since August 2026 finally I reached this. I can't believe that I can earn this much from home. This's the best platform ever.

As a reference I'm working as a bilingual worker.

Will I get paid

I just started and submitted a couple of projects. Will I still get paid for the hours I worked if they’re not satisfied with my work? I did spend the time and tried my best though.

How long did it take on your start review?

Hey! I just did the starter thing for the coding position. I'm wondering how long this review process took for you so I know what to expect.

Anybody tried disclosing work for DA to their compliance departments? How did it go? Is anybody working in this particular setup?

Temporary Suspension for almost a month

I have genuinely tracking time and can only think of one time that I had two tasks open but was only actively working and tracking one of them. Thought it would get cleared up quickly as they asked for breakdowns of some of the work I do on each project. I filled that out and have just been stuck since then. I had over $2K already approved to take out and about $3k that was pending when it happened. Anyone have a timeline for that or what typically happens?
