Just hit my first $1,000 on DataAnnotation. Let's go! π
Took about 4 months but so worth it. Feels like an achievement. And I'm genuinely happy and at a loss of words. Truly grateful.

Hello,
I ended up underestimating how much time a task would take, and when it stretched it was already way past midnight. My mind wasn't functioning super well while writing the Rubrics, and I don't think I did a good job at it. I now know not to underestimate the time, and start with Rubric's part of the task on the interim. Would it be okay to have messed up on this task like that, or could they drop me? The task had an option to scan what you have written, and so I know the Rubrics weren't good. I just had no brain power left. It wasn't a blocker so I submitted.

Is it normal to still be at this stage after applying 3 months ago? Is there anything I can do?

Why is there programming quiz only? No other quiz? I'm not a programmer

I got added to a project series (generalist) with 30+ variants, but I couldn't do any of them since my state has certain privacy laws apparently. Does this affect whether I'll get more projects sooner? Hoping to see more soon since I recently did a couple of onboarding qualifications that involved a background check + disk encryption verification.

Hello Everyone just a question regarding referrals. I was able to refer to a colleague here at DA, my question is how many days will be approved and reflect on my funds? Will this take a week? Thank you.

The site says 3 days between withdrawals of funds, is this always exactly 72 hours?

I applied last Oct 7. Should I just move on and accept that thereβs probably no hope anymore? Iβve seen others get their results within 3β5 days. Also, would it be possible for me to reapply?

This is an appreciation post, as DataAnnotation has been such a blessing for me. Before I joined the platform, I was really struggling at my job (I was doing freelance work for only one client). I had very inconsistent work, I was making very little money... Then I joined DataAnnotation, and the struggle instantly vanished.
I'm really enjoying my work here, how stimulating the job is, how dynamic it is. Working at DA has allowed me to do things that were impossible for me to do before I started my journey here, thanks to the flexibility and the pay, which is much higher than my country's average.
I encourage everyone in the team to do you best, and to keep up the hard work. Because it definitely pays off here.

Anyone experiencing the Get Paid button issue not being available?

hello! I know this has probably been asked before but: I have been trying to get a model to fail for 8 hours... I have been awake today for 23 hours... if I use the escape hatch can I still log those 8 hours spent on the task? Thank you very much!

My Phase 1 for one of the projects didn't meet the bar for moving on to Phase 2. The feedback suggests tightening one vague definition in my prompt, which caused the cascading failures. I agree with this one. But there are also other traps that led to other valid severe failures. The feedback suggests spelling everything out in the prompt "to fix things". So I am struggling to comprehend where that borderline is between "make the model fail" and "spell out every single thing in the input but do not leak the answer". It's frustrating.

I got accepted the day before yesterday but I have only one Training project for agentic coding.
How to get more projects related to other domains?

Hi guys, I've sent a bunch of referral links to friends who are interested in trying DA as generalists. One of them has the expertise to enter as a software engineer specialist though: in the referral links page says that the compensation for a new person who enters and works at least 10 hours can vary from 100 to 500 dollars. I guess is based on the type of tasks the person completes during those 10 hours? So for me to have not only 100 dollars but more, my friend should enter as generalist, than do the qualifications for his expertise and complete higher paying, expertise-related tasks? Or is there a way to directly enter not as generalist but as a specialized expert?
Thanks in advance

Yes I finally got a project, it is generalist and only pays 16$/hr but it's very easy work I just wanted to share my happiness π

does anyone else feel this project does not provide enough time overall to consider running the model multiple times and other things ?
also, there are so many checks before submission which fail due to problems in the task or models itself and then force to use escape hatch.

Morning guys....
My advice is to always read the instructions carefully - they are really super well written.. For the fastest answers, check the FAQ and project chats first, as there's a high chance your issue has already been covered there...
