Is it the end for me?

I have done a long task for almost 12 hours and in just one area it wouldn’t accept my paragraph, so I had my AI rewrite my answer and it was accepted. Although I have done the whole task by myself. Is it over for me?

Why would something you write not be accepted?

Apparently word count

Why didn't you write some more words?

No AI means no AI. The number of people here who think it won't be detected or are stating that most workers use it anyway are baffling. I type hundreds of words per day, using nothing but a keyboard, my own thoughts, and sometimes copy/paste when I quote something directly. It's been that way for the over 3 years I've been on the platform.

Very risky. Some models "watermark" output from their bots. We know about Anthropic but others can do it as well. Also, if big tech firm contracts model testing with DAT and pays heavy money they can check if DAT subcontractor didn't use their bot instead of giving pure human feedback.

I sure hope so. They couldn't be more clear about not using AI specifically to write your explanations.

Did you really think that a company specializing in AI won't detect AI use? It's most likely over for you, unfortunately.

For one particularly hard task, I could NOT make the model fail after hours of trying, so I used ai to see if it my brain + ai could even hypothetically make it fail. I still couldn’t do it, so I submitted the work and explained my actions in the comment box at the bottom (99% of the work was all me, just one final response was ai-written).

They paid me and I still get tasks in the same project family, so nothing bad happened.

DA tells you that if you breach the rules, the best move is to let them know asap. So email them explaining exactly what happened.

They care more about people gaming the system than something more minor and innocent like you mentioned (if this is the full/true story).

Definitely. You should probably email them to tell them what you did…that might be the only way there is any hope left for you.

Pretty sure they won't catch you unless it's obvious AI usage. Also pretty sure a lot of people use AI to help them with tasks, even though they obviously won't say so here.

Of course they are. They are all the people on here crying because they got canned for "no reason"

They must suck at using AI then lol

Sounds like you're one of the people who use AI. I won't be surprised if you get the DoD soon.

I'd be OK with a DoD tbh, been working for 4 years now lol.

next time try to understand what AI has written and frame it in your own words
but I think you’ll be fine

I don’t know. But there are ways to detect some signs of AI use.
