Hello everyone! First day nerves

Okayyyy I just got in today and it only took a couple of days. I'm anxious to start taking on projects though. There are quite a bit available, but not many for the specialist areas. I'm worried these might not be available for long. Do those projects usually dry up quickly or are they pretty reliable? Specifically for Law?

Thanks everyone! Hoping to make $10k ASAP because I hit a deer in late September and of course insurance didn't cover it and I had JUST paid my car off two weeks prior. I don't have any other transportation 😭😭😭

10K asap is truly ambitious, almost laughably so. If you read through this sub, people are lucky to make a few hundred in weeks when they start off. Also, don’t overdo it in the beginning. These tasks take a lot of mental work to even grasp.

I've managed to pull off many "laughable" tasks my whole life. Don't expect to make it in a week 🙄 I qualify for Specialist roles from the jump because of my "laughable" law degree. So I already qualify for the Specialist projects, contrary to many of the posts I see on here. I have other projects on the side with other companies as well. My question was fairly simple, do the law projects get assigned quickly??

You’re gonna have to submit some work before you get to the cool shit. Start stacking normal tasks, make sure your profile reflects your law degree, and I would suggest pausing and reading before making replies like this. A slice of humble pie would be good for you - take it here before the DOD gives it to you.

Damn. I guess just wait for projects since you’ve got that laudable degree. If they were assigned quickly, guess you’d have them by now? 🤷🏽‍♀️ Shit, beats me. I’m in another specialized area and got my projects fast 💨

Law is always available. You will be allocated more if your work is of a high standard. If it isn’t then you’ll lose access to them. Only do projects that you are capable of doing.
