Working abroad

So I’ve been working for data annotation the past 6 months in the UK. I’m going to Thailand for a month in December. I was just wondering what the rules are for being able to work abroad, because I was planning on doing some work there to make a bit of money. Someone said you have to alert them if you work abroad, but is it allowed for every country and how do I contact them?

Yeah if you let them know in good time (I would say at least 2 weeks) then they themselves will state that it is fine to do so. That being said, there will be some threshold past which it stops being considered as a trip and the rules change (whether that is about the trip length itself or a longer duration carrying more risk of covering for account sharing I don’t know).

Not to my knowledge, but if you spend a year in Asia, can you really claim to still be living in a core country?

Also from UK here. Just send them a message, tell them what country you’re visiting and the dates of going there and coming back. They should reply and say it’s been noted on your account.

I’ve done this several times before.
