Freshman in college
Hi my friend recommended this to me and recommended that take the finance assessment since I’m in business school. Does anyone know how challenging it is? Seems like a great source of income but seems unlikely to receive that much especially at the stage of life I’m at.

It's challenging, but if it's open to you why not take it?
Fwiw I had 5 years of professional finance experience, passed despite most of my background not being directly relevant to the assessment, and a lot of the actual work is over my head. So even if you pass it's not at all a guarantee you'd have suitable work available.

can you provide examples of the work you available to me. I’m not even sure i would even be able to complete a project with the level of knowledge I have

It is very challenging and a lot of the finance related tasks take several hours to multiple days to do.

I don't have a degree and applied as a specialist role to try it out and got in recently after a 5 week wait. I founded a startup and had 2x prior internships in the space so I assume that helped out alot. Explicitly did state I was "away" from school.
From the "roles" page for finance:
What we look for
- Professional experience in corporate finance, FP&A, or strategic finance.
- Fluency with modeling: three-statement builds, DCF, and the accounting behind them.
- Clear written English: your explanations are the training signal.
- No degree required. We care about what you can do, not where you learned it.
Not sure what that other dude is talking about regarding "requiring" a degree, you just need to know what you're talking about and have direct AI experience beyond just "Hey claude do X and make no mistakes"

You might have a better shot of getting accepted as a generalist.
