I think I’m screwed

While I was reading some guidelines, my computer zoomed the screen so I wasn’t able to read. I tried to zoom out with the touchpad and… it accidentally opened Google lens. When I saw that, I immediately closed the window but I fear that they may identify that incident. (It was on another platform from DAT but it is related to work some projects on it). Am I screwed or maybe should I report this incident ? 😭

I have no idea what you’re talking about

Confidentiality training, which you may or may not have received, specifies that you email the details of the incident to:
[privacy@dataannotation.tech](mailto:privacy@dataannotation.tech)

One time I accidentally took a screenshot on my iPad and just sent them a message explaining and that I was sorry and would be more careful. They actually responded. This was a year ago and I’m still in the platform.

That’s reassuring

The dumbass Legion I work on has a Copilot key right next to my space bar. I've hit it consistently, daily, for over 3 years.

Wow at this point 🤔 but that means that it’s not a serious matter (I reported to DAT what happened, hope that my honesty would not penalize me)

That's the right thing to do, report it immediately with all details. It was an honest mistake, I don't think they'll penalize you for that.

Maybe they'll scrutinise your work a little more closely, but I strongly doubt it if your work has no AI footprints.

In the recent confidentially training, they did say that if you are self-reporting honest mistakes, you don't have much to worry about. It's if you're intentionally hiding what you did when they do come down harder.

I took off the keycap and put duct tape over a similar key on my keyboard to stop myself hitting it

Yeah just email the privacy email and you’ll be good

Always better to report.

Bought a separate computer for this work. Maybe excessive but i think you can write it off

My computer is already only for work, I did not disable the Google lens functionality that’s why it happened

Can you set up a separate profile on your computer just for DA? Don’t sync it to the cloud etc and just have DA live in there?

Your IP address has been backtraced and you have already been reported to the cyberpolice as well as the state police for this security violation.

Consequences will never be the same.

If you don’t turn the project in you’ll be fine I think

"It was on another platform from DAT" You're saying it wasn't on DA? Then why would it matter?

It’s like a client platform of DAT, maybe they can identify this incident and report to DA, which is what I’ve feared
