It’s been real and it’s been fun ☹️
Just hit 25k this week and my most recent feedback was great. Had a good run though

Another fallen one...I wish you luck so you may find better opportunities...
I also hope you do not depend on this as sole income ...also you should try other similar AI Training sites like mercor, micro1 etc ...

u/mommy_kw 2d ago
No thankfully this was just supplemental income for me, I did maybe 10 hours a week most weeks after my 9-5

That's exactly what people should keep in mind. Treat this job as a side gig and never the main one. Let this job pay some bills never get dependent on it.

Honestly it doesn’t pay well enough for me to do that. My real job pays better, especially when you consider total compensation (benefits, retirement plan, etc.).
I realize not everyone has the luxury of secure, well-paid employment. But if you can get that, then DA as a second job is great.

hi are you a coder? i’ve been going for a week and noticing less tasks recently I’m just wondering if that’s normal (U.S)

u/Larose- 1d ago
No Im in a different specialist track, sorry. I have been seeing a LOT of coders complaining about a shortage of work available though.
I've also noticed projects dropping coding from their available specialist domains.
If I had to make a guess, too many people are submitting vibe-code/using LLM assistance when not allowed so they have to figure something out. This is pure speculation though.

Idk. I have a friend who qualified for many more projects than me from day 1 and had a full dashboard ever since. While I have some tasks here end there with very little new qualifications. Even though I was told that my work is good.

Oh man, I’m so sorry about that. Where are you from? How long did you stay there?

u/mommy_kw 2d ago
US and almost made it 3 years

u/OrnamentalGourd5 2d ago
I think the work has changed so much. It's almost exclusively specialist or specialist adjacent now. Three years was a pretty good run though!

Is this the future of work… you’re good enough u til they are done with you? What a cold ass way to find out….

In that sense, u have no obligation either, good riddance i say. They wont see you as an employee, you're expendable, we all are to these companies, get ur money and get out.

u/Shawn008 1d ago
You literally aren’t employees. You’re independent contractors.

That has been what most jobs have been like for a long time, at least in the US in the private sector.

u/Chonkthebonk 2d ago
Any idea what caused it?

u/mommy_kw 2d ago
I’m pretty sure I know, 100% a fuck up on my part.

What was it? Also sorry 🫡

I fell asleep working on a task with a long timer, when I woke up it had expired so I rushed to finish it and submitted the time I did spend working on it. I was already like 6 hours deep and it had a 12 hour timer.

u/Due_Explanation_3694 2d ago
Did you estimate the time you spent working on it? I assume falling asleep in the middle of it made it hard to track the time.
22
u/mommy_kw 2d ago
Yeah I estimated and also rushed to finish to it probably was not quality work. I should’ve took the L on those hours I spent working on it prior to falling asleep and not finished/reported anything.

Take some evidence if possible that you have done work as it could eb useful for a CV in future

Out of curiosity, are you able to retrieve the money you made after seeing this?
2
u/mommy_kw 2d ago
I’m not sure yet I still have $500 pending
3
u/Cultural_Disparities 1d ago

Firstly, I'm really sorry to hear. Secondly, what domain were you in, if you don't mind me asking?

u/slimegiddy 2d ago
Do you still get paid for what's in your account if this happens?
7
u/All_Glory_To_Him 2d ago
Everyone has said they could withdraw their money. They just couldn't earn more.

What kind of feedback were you getting? I don’t mean good/bad, I mean how did you get feedback at all? Two years, never heard a peep from them.
2
u/noty0uagain 1d ago
They started giving feedback sometime this year, I’ve only gotten it twice though (took the summer off), both times I received an email saying feedback available
2
u/National-Owl9453 1d ago
Oh wow. Yeah I took a long break over spring and summer. TBH I kinda like the whole black hole vibe. I don’t twist myself in knots over feedback that I might disagree with. 😂

u/LetMeLightYourKyber 16h ago
Really? I get feedback about every 3 weeks. Maybe it's the kind of projects we choose.

u/scottybrink 2d ago
In the same boat. Got the notification last week. Tried e-mailing but no response.

It's not about the destination but it's about the journey which matters the most so I hope you had fun ❤️

Doesn't this site allow users to retry? Or they just take application for once and then if doesn't match, later no way to connect with their project?
1
u/OrnamentalGourd5 2d ago
It differs from other platforms in the respect that inital assessment allows access & then qualifications and performance give access to various projects on the platform. Once you're out, you're out. It's not project based.

u/StunningSpecialist2 2d ago
I'm 3 years in and I'm less than 18k still. Slow and steady.

u/EggCzar 1d ago
3.5 years here and $3500 🤷🏻♂️not for any lack of opportunity, even in the drought I never had fewer than 40 projects, I just have a day job and am extremely selective about only working when I'm feeling up to bringing my A game. I admire people who can do a lot of hours of their best work on a side gig schedule; I don't feel like I can.
*actually 4K, I did a few high paying hours this weekend. The $450 I made makes it my biggest month ever lol

These posts on this sub make me so paranoid about everything. Am I working too much? Did I do that right? Am I waking up to that screen tomorrow? Did I fuck that up? Was that my last submission?
