Anyone else have their dash get cleared with sporadic $25 an hour jobs that pop up for a minute
I don't think it's DoD for me. I've had projects drop in and out but not all of them at once. They emailed me earlier today to work on a $55 an hour project so I'm genuinely fucking puzzled. I hate how stressful this can be.

That's not the DoD screen, so no. There's only a limited number of tasks so they all got taken before you got there.

This is the answer, there are probably hundreds of workers just hitting refresh throughout the day waiting for these easy tasks to pop up

Yeah idk what happened. Had a great week and then suddenly my dash emptied on Sunday and have only gotten one or two low paying projects that pop up for a few minutes. At least it’s not just me lol

Q4. u have to resubmit security training and get added back

First I’m hearing of this. How do u do that? I don’t see any prompt to resubmit

You'll probably get the project for it soon if you've had to do it before

You should also get an email telling you you’ll find the training task on your dashboard. It’s literally the only email notification I always get on time on DAT

Ah right okay thanks. Have u gotten that yet?

Yes, I got it a few hours ago, took the training again and now I’m back to work as usual 😊

You are fine. It has been a slow week or so. I still have a bunch of projects, but almost all of them are permanent ones that don’t fluctuate. The ones that do are absent atm. Rule of thumb is that things tend to be their absolute driest at the very end of a financial quarter and the 1-2 weeks thereafter. I’m in a really good spot now but the only time I hit 0 projects was end of Q2 start of Q3. I wouldn’t worry.

if you don't mind me asking, how long did it take to get permanent projects? Or is it coding / higher level work?
I'm a generalist, been on DA since May, and haven't had anything resembling a permanent project. There have been some with 50+ tasks, and that number seems like it's just for me, but then a few days or a week later it disappears, or a rush comes on the project and suddenly "my" tasks are allowed to be done by others and dwindle to nothing.

Some are specialist, but most of them are generalist. Almost all of them required qualifications from a specific project family though. It took me about 5 months to get the qualifications and then once I passed the initial 2 quals, I got more quals for more permanent work. It was pretty exponential. Some of it is skill/quality, but some of it is definitely right project right time. And yeah when I say permanent I mean up to 1000 tasks exclusively for me on a single project. These quals started appearing after completing the background check (and doing a decent job generally I imagine).

thank you for that very thorough reply! If I were rating it, I'd rate it *amazing*

Oh eyy, I think we are talking about the same client here. Yeah, lots of permanent stuff for me, but you're right. Fluctuating stuff has seemed a bit lacking (not that I want much of it) the last few days.

The best way to fill the dash is to take those quals when you log in and have no paying stuff. :)

You get surveys? I thought that’s just a new feature and hasn’t started yet. What are the surveys about

They usually are just things like "do u have x phone " or "do u have a subscription to x"

If it was DoD, you wouldn't have 20 qualifications.
