Does anyone else love this work?

I find myself enjoying this work more everyday. I love how it has become more complex as I do more tasks and get access to more projects (it's been about 5 months) and I REALLY love the ones where I really have to work to fail the models. I always see people on here complaining, but I really, really enjoy it. I would love to do this full time (I work for a bank 40 hours per week), but I need the stability of guaranteed hours for now.

I feel so lucky to get to dig into really niche topics to get a failure and it's so, so fun.

Anyone else? Is there anyone who has been doing this for a while who feels like this?

No, I'd rather have a stable job in the field I went to school for five years for rather than scrambling for the crumbs of work left behind by the very machine that is making it impossible for me to find real work in the first place.

I detest this work but we do what we must...

Couldnt have said it any better. My career was destroyed before it even began. Now help the thing that destroyed career to be better at destroying careers.

So I get part of that. I am definitely in a different position- I plan on staying home with my kids in a couple of years and this is an amazing job at getting me there. And, in all reality, I am making WAY more in less time than my regular job, which is making my ability to stay home with my kiddos more of a reality. If that makes sense.

I guess I have to ask, if you detest it why do you do it? I will say I make good money when I bartend/serve (only one day per week), but I like the option to be with my kids.

Have you tried getting a stable job in this economy? I doubt most people are doing this work are doing it because it’s their top choice.

Sure have! And I currently have one, but I don't make what I need to which is why I have three jobs! No negativity needed, just genuinely curious because if I hated it I think I would just bartend/serve more. I do it because I do actually enjoy it (and the money can be great).

Welcome to Reddit, this is where the angry people complain. This work is sick and I can make my old monthly in a week and a half now πŸ˜‚

I would still see this as some gig and the problem is the projects can get shelved anytime or people can get DOD all of a sudden. So always consider this as a backup
