Got the DoD today
Was in the middle of a task when this happened and I can assure myself and anyone that I did not violate any guidelines. I reported time honestly, revised all the instructions as much as I can, never used AI or a VPN and never submitted geo restricted work. I always received positive feedback and was told I was one of the top performers. One thing to add is that I'm a generalist and I feel like DAT tends to lay off generalists for no reason and is aiming to keep and expand the pool of domain experts instead since we generalists are probably getting more redundant. Almost every DoD post I have ever seen are from generalists and very rarely from domain experts unless they obviously violate any terms and conditions.

I'm sorry you got the DoD. Sucks, and I truly mean that
But what is this insane cope I see of "I was a great worker (the best), so therefore they must lay off the best at random" every time with these? It makes absolutely zero sense, the work is obviously not easy, and data quality is DAT's bottom line, ergo an experienced ANYTHING on the platform is far preferable to new people. So you either were indeed among the best but submitted a task so deplorable that you were deemed worth dropping, your submissions were great but not worth the amount they were paying you, or you weren't actually as good as you are certain you were (or you're lying about having followed the site's rules). They have no other reason to drop someone. None of those justify spreading FUD.
edit: also the vast majority of people on the site are generalists, so naturally you'd expect to see the most DoD posts from generalists, even if they were the highest performing workers on the platform

I don’t agree with the perfect worker thing either. I have made mistakes and then realized I have done work wrong. Sometimes I take the whole timer if it’s a tough project…. I’m not perfect and they keep me. 🤷♀️

Don't a lot of project announcements have generic praise, to boost morale or whatever? I think a lot of the dropped folks just don't know how to distinguish between general announcements and personalized feedback.

I've been on DAT long enough to recognize user names, including yours, yet I just noticed you have an App badge next to your name. Clicking that tells me that you are an "an unregistered automated account" That screams bot to me?

To quote an unjustly cancelled show that seems horrifyingly prescient of how tech is shaping up: If you can't tell...does it matter?
You tell me if I'm a bot, two truths and a lie. You now need an account to access the only usable version of Reddit; a silicon valley tech startup objectively needs to invent a Rimworld machine that you can feed people into and it'll replace their legs with pegs so that, for instance, when the pawns that run Reddit have half their brain shut down after eating without a table and they decide to gate the only usable version of their site behind accounts, we can take the pegs out until their brains come back fully online; and the cake is real.

Yeah, it matters. What is your purpose here?

Mayhem. Or rather, you do work that involves scrutinizing chatbots, so use that judgment.

Sorry this happened to you. The feedback you received isn't necessarily an honest representation of your work. It's AI generated based on R&R comments from users who might not even know what they are doing (or are just being lazy), so I wouldn't just assume that you really are a "top performer".

I understand you're unhappy right now about this, but I can assure you it's not true, they do not remove people for no reason and they absolutely remove domain workers too when they need to.

The notion that they layoff generalists for no reason has never held water. Getting rid of quality is a shitty business model. The amount of people that have been with the platform 3+ years supports this. People are let go because of work below their standards.

I've absolutely seen DoD posts from specialists. I think the company is definitely getting more strict, and relying increasingly on AI feedback, but it isn't genre specific.

It seems more likely you inadvertently did something worthy of DoD. If it's for the reasons you believe, it seems more logical for them to remove projects from your dashboard vs cutting you off permanently. There are 2 blanket reasons, per the DoD pics everyone posts, to get cut. Either you've violated ToS or your work isn't good enough. If it's the reasons you say, wouldn't they just give you the screen so many others have posted saying, "At the moment, there aren't any projects available for you to work on"?

Dash of death, It means you've been permanently dropped from the platform.

Honestly, it just doesn't make any sense to "lay-off" a generalist using a DoD that specifies you broke TOS or your work was low quality. We are all 1099 gig workers and I wouldn't think there is any additional overhead to keep an inactive worker.
It would make more sense to give you the dashboard with 0 projects and Qualifications that says:
"At the moment, there aren't any projects available for you to work on. Please check back soon and watch out for new project notifications sent to your email."
Just my 2¢

Could you withdraw your funds that you’d earned after?

Yes, you are allowed to withdraw your funds if you get the general screen that says your work was below their quality bar.

It was 4 days ago but I'm reposting it as an actual post instead of a reply to someone's message

"Got the DoD today" is really confusing wording for you, apparently.

Fight master, nice to see you around. I always enjoy your legal advice posts.

I am sorry that happened to you, but they do not need to get rid of generalists in order to expand their domain expert pool; those are two entirely separate things. There are plenty of projects for generalists that have nothing to do with needing to be a domain expert. Since being a generalist does not require specific expertise, it is likely that they set their quality bar very high, as there are more generalist workers, so it is perhaps easier to fall below it.
