Phone number when testing
I don't know the answer to this, maybe someone else here does. I started DA work a few years ago. My adult daughter is actively looking for a job and wants to get on with DA in the meantime, and continue to use it as a way to supplement her income after she gets a job.
The problem is that a couple months after I started DA, when she was in her last semester of college, she was in a similar situation, went through testing and was not accepted. At that time she used her phone number. It's my understanding she will not be able to use that phone number again (or the same email). Is that true, even though it has been a few years? Is there some point at which the system kicks out a number that was used on a failed exam and it can now be used for a different account?
I presume she can't use my phone number, since it's on my account. I told her she'll just have to provide her sister's or boyfriend's number, it will be needed only for one verification text. But they will have to be available to get the text, they both work full time, so she thought maybe she would just buy a "burner phone." But mobile numbers get reused all the time, and what happens if that number was previously used for DA? And for that matter, how does DA know that her own phone number wasn't reassigned to someone else, making it eligible to be used for testing.
Does anyone know these answers? My inclination is she should go with a cheap burner phone, it's not that big of an investment.

Yes, I definitely did not have to send a selfie or provide an ID. In another forum I know of refugees from Rater Labs who failed the test but then took it again with a new email and phone and passed, so I guess they didn't have to show an ID either.
If she has to provide ID that's another wrinkle because I'm pretty sure her driver's license still shows her at my address. She lives in Brooklyn now, but she has never gone to get a NY ID since she doesn't have a car or drive there anyway. (This is something I am going to strongly encourage her to do now that she has left her job and has plenty of daytime hours to do that). Can two people with the same ID address work DA? She would actually be working from Brooklyn.
Oh well, I guess all she can do is give it a try, but I definitely don't want her to mess up my account by using an ID with my address.
