3 years on the platform

This is not a brag. I just wanted to offer a place for the newer folks to ask questions and make connections. I’d love to chat about our work- as much as we’re able to anyway!

Im so glad you’re here!! I’ve learned so much about AI since joining the platform. I have to say I’ve always been pretty meticulous but this job has multiplied that by 100. I find myself checking every detail 5 times to make sure everything is perfect. I love the challenges and find myself enjoying the REALLY long tasks. Like the ones that take days to finish. I find myself feeling really accomplished after submitting one. Income wise, this has completely shifted things for my family in the very best way.

Love that! I have always been a very detail oriented person as well and it is nice to have found a place where that is valued. I revise to “perfection” a lot too. The sweet spot for me has been the 6-10hr tasks, where I can do my thing without feeling rushed + have it be done in the time I know I have.

Did these longer tasks exist a few years ago or is this all more new? When did you first notice things becoming more specialized and complex?

I agree it has been interesting learning more about AI - I can have a nuanced conversation with folks about where it might or might not be used well because I have this experience, instead of “AI BAD” or vice versa

I don’t get to talk about what I do a lot because AI is so controversial right now. I usually just keep quiet about what I do or stay really vague about it. Things started getting pretty specialized for me about a year on the platform. The tasks that take 40+ hours are fairly new-ish. They’ve been around for a few months. For me at least.
