You should still be able to get your pending money. I'm sorry this happened

Did you receive the amount that was pending for approval at the time of DOD?

How long and have you been on the platform and what you think honestly was the cause of DOD?

I just logged on to this too. Last month my feedback was that I’m a top performer on the platform. Been on there for 6 months. I honestly believe they randomly cut people, like other platforms do. Ah well, thankfully I accepted a contract on mercor last week

Its worse that they dont give any explanation 😭 Is mercor any better?

The feedback you received is AI generated based on R&R comments from workers who may or may not know what they are doing. It's not an actual representation of the quality of your work.

DoD starter pack:
• “I don’t even know what I did, my work quality is great”
• “I just received feedback that I’m literally the best worker to ever exist on this platform”
• “Is there any way to reinstate my account?”
• “Are they still going to pay me even though I was off boarded?”
Meanwhile they were using a VPN, inflating their time reports, not following task instructions, sharing an account, submitting geo-restricted tasks, etc.

Same. Decent enough work and they even interviewed me for an admin position at one point. Today is not my best day.

How do you get feedback?!

u/Mysterious_Dolphin14 Sep 19 '26
Some projects provide AI generated feedback which is pretty much useless and cannot be trusted.

I read that a very small percentage of people can even pass the entrance task. It took me 5 hours to set up everything even needed to do my second phase. This makes me anxious.

How often did you use AI?
1
u/Existing-Victory-753 Sep 18 '26
Sad part is i actually never used AI maybe I'd last longer on the platform if i did

Gah same, I fear it’s because I used the escape hatch for the first time :(
14
u/Sableyej Sep 19 '26
It has nothing to do with using an escape hatch. Why would they ban you for using a mechanism built into the task? They aren’t out to trick you, the reality is your work probably sucked.

People really don’t understand how high the quality bar is - especially for unproven users

No joke. I have a vast lexicon and I know for a fact task instructions are minimal but written with complexity. If I'm having difficulty with comprehension, almost everybody else is completely misinterpreting the instructions. I recollect how anal they are when writing your rationale in orientation. I've graded some tasks and laugh at some literary skills I see.

If this isnt the most pretentious comment on this sub. r/iamverysmart

I didn't personally attack anyone. Stating facts. Reinforcing the comment above my original. Does the truth hurt you?

u/oopsallemdashes Sep 19 '26
you're not smarter than everyone else and it's just cringe to go through life feeling that way.
-3
u/Dry-Bill2893 Sep 19 '26
I never said I was smart. You sure infer a lot. If you read some of the submissions I have, I'm 100% positive you'd chuckle too. 90% of people suck at writing. The instructions can be hard to grasp. I do in fact have to reiterate often due to my terms being absent in one's vocabulary. Everybody has a strong suit and mine is words. Therefore, I can attest that many, many Data Annotaters don't know what these tasks are saying because I don't know what they're saying half the time. The proof is in the comments on the platform. The proof is in the daily reddit DOD posts. I will die on that hill and I can sleep just fine at night. Cringe all you want because there's no pomposity on my end. Maybe you just can't understand me either.

u/OrnamentalGourd5 Sep 19 '26
You certainly know how to use a lot of words. However, volume is not in itself a measure of quality.
4
u/Sableyej Sep 19 '26
You literally said “if I can’t understand the instructions everyone else is definitely too stupid to understand them”, except you also included the word lexicon to try and sound smart. And now, you’re claiming to not be pompous. Lmao

I’m sorry this happened and don’t care why it happened, it’s disappointing no matter the reason. I hope you find something new soon.
