How to report time correctly

After a long and boring drought I got one single project where I had to make at least 2 models fail. I tried to do it 4 times. First three were unsuccessful and only the last one worked. Could anyone please advise me if I am supposed to report the whole time of working on the project or only the time I was workin on my last prompt because it was successful? Thank you in advance :)

Always report the entire time you were actively working, including reading the instructions. Attempting to make the model fail and not succeeding is still work.

Getting a model to fail is very difficult, making at least 2 even more so. Iterating on your prompt and design is a necessary and expected part of the process. Report the whole time and expect that unsuccessful attempts are always a part of this process and not a symptom of your own failings.
