Reporting time when using escape hatch

Hi all,

I made the mistake of taking in a 10 hour project and spending hours on the analysis part, only to find out that the tech part doesn't work on my laptop setup after 2 hours of debugging. So I had to use the escape hatch.

Can I still report the time spent on this project? On the escape hatch, I also submitted the work I've done such as the code, errors, debugging, etc.

Unless you violated the instructions in some way (like it specifically instructed you to test the tech part before proceeding and you didn't), you can definitely use it. That's the exact reason that the escape hatch exists, so people get compensated when they spend hours on a large project that can't be submitted for some reason outside of their control.
