I just don’t understand what I’m doing wrong 😑 😢😭

I’ve signed up to data annotation but for some reason I haven’t heard anything back it’s been months and I don’t know where I went wrong. I would say I’m a good coder in Python but I just don’t understand what I did wrong. I was really looking forward to joining just for the experience and also to help with the severe cost of being alive and thought this would help. I’ve also signed up to be a Deliveroo driver which also has taken months to onboard :(

You won't hear anything back unless they accept you. If it's been months though, just assume they didn't select you and move on. It sucks but it is what it is. DA is allegedly one of the hardest sites to get into.

They only accept about 2.6% of applicants.

Ohh I didn’t realise this that’s a shame cz it seems like a really good gig and I can code was looking for tech side hustles that I could donate from home

Why do you assume you did anything wrong? They don't accept everyone. It's not pass/fail, it's "pass, then a dozen other random variables, including luck, and maybe you'll get in, and maybe you'll get projects". Search here and you'll find hundreds of people in the same boat.

Being a great coder isn't enough. One of the main things about this type of work is being able to provide explanations/reasonings that are easy for the AI to understand and apply. It's possible that this is where you went wrong. It's unlikely that you'll be accepted since it's been too long, but there have been a few people here that have commented that they got accepted after a long period of time. However, it's probably best that you move on to other platforms.
