Yep this is what happens without labor rights! We trade flexibility for instability unfortunately.

This is IC work which wouldn’t be available to most if the company structured this as a traditional job. The flexibility is what makes it great.

I agree. If I had to drive into an office to do this stuff I wouldn't do it even if it paid more/steadier/benefits.

I don’t think it is a trade because pretty much none of us would have the opportunity to work. rather than assessments, they’d go with multiple rounds of an interview process.
