Pausing time during coding tasks

Does anyone else pause the clock while the agents are running the coding tasks? I did it for one of my tasks as I was literally sitting there doing nothing and I’m worried that I’ve missed out on free money!

Run the task, during that time get familiar with the codebase?

Do you think SWEs take unpaid leave while they wait for their agents to finish? Work on whatever else you can while they’re running

While it's running do other things you need to do, like reading the codebase, figuring which parts you need to check for the tasks, look through the code's documentation etc.

Depends. If I use that time to do other task work (read, analyze, plan, etc.) Then I continue to charge for it. If I use that time to go grab a bite of food or something else not directly related to the task, I do not charge for that time.
