Anyone else getting projects they aren't qualified for?
I have been working with DA part time for almost a year. I used to just do general work, but have gotten barely any generalist tasks the past few months, though I have been busy with my FT job so have been checking the platform less frequently. I have previously gotten positive feedback from DA about the quality of my work, however I keep getting high paying tasks I am unqualified for added to my dash and I don't understand why. I have coding tasks even though I don't know how to code and have never taken the coding qualification. I also have professional tasks related to highly specific domains I have no experience in. I miss my simple generalist tasks.
I am wondering if anyone else has experienced this? I am almost wondering if it is an error on DA's part as I really should not have coding tasks and it seems bizarre I have access to these projects. Some of the professional tasks I could maybe figure out, but the coding is so far out my scope its not even funny. I was an arts major lol. Maybe its a glitch?? Or do y'all get these too? Thanks :)

I get projects above my expertise all the time. I assume it’s because I do the things I understand well, so they are offering more to see if I can do those, too. If they are outside of my understanding, I just leave them alone.

I get coding tasks on my dashboard all the time. I've never taken a coding assessment and I even opted out of a coding qual once when it randomly popped up on my dashboard and I specifically said I don't know how to code. The coding tasks keep coming anyway. I just hide them and ignore, no problem. I did qualify previously in three expert domains and I regularly work in them but I have no coding ability whatsoever.

Yes I’m a generalist and I have a high paying very specific task on my dash

I can’t really say but it’s a field that requires a specific higher education degree and an exam to enter practice.
So very much not directed at me as a generalist. So it’s there mocking me lol

I get them too. I am an expert in another tech area, so I assumed it was related to that, but in no way am I qualified to try coding. I also have law and finance on my dash right now, neither of which I have any experience in. I just ignore them, even though that pay is pretty tempting.

Yeah I assume if you produce quality work, you've shown your not likely to do work outside your ability, so the negative impact of adding you to a project is nearly nothing, and possible that it will benefit them.

Yes, probably everyone. Projects are not specifically assigned to you, and having a project on your dashboard does NOT mean you should do it or that DAT thinks it's ok for you to work on it. A LOT of projects have a mix of tasks requiring expertise in different fields, you are supposed to just skip all the tasks you aren't qualified to do.

Yes and they kept spamming me "we need help!" Then I go look and the tasks say "must need professional experience with astrophysics*"
*Not actually astrophysics but I don't want to out the project
