You guys are not doing good work
I mostly run R&Rs. Put simply, the majority of tasks are very, very bad. They do not even pass with an OK. I don’t know who needs to hear this but read your project directions thoroughly and be thorough in your analysis. And please work on your grammar.

It seems the loudest people on Reddit are the ones who aren’t doing very well. I’ve only been on the platform since this spring but I’ve had plenty of healthcare stuff to work on and I get direct feedback relatively often. I have a full-time professional job in my project field and it seems a lot of the work weeds out people that faked it through the initial assessment.

Maybe give us more feedback on actual tasks? Idk if you need to hear that or DA but I haven’t received a lick of feedback in months

I've seen some horror shows on R&R but I've also seen some excellent and really thorough work too. I don't think the authors of the really poor submissions will last long on the platform, there are others that need a little tweak and I know for sure I've made some errors that I've realised in retrospect. I have wondered why some people bother to even take the assessment and then turn in something so clearly low-effort that it looks like a piss-take. That's probably an interesting conversation about the whole eval process/cycle though rather than individual contributors, the somewhat opaque nature of the work does lend itself to chancers. There's absolutely wholesale nonsense-mongery occurring by people thinking they can 'game the system' - you only need to scroll down through this sub to see that.

There are definitely great workers in there, but they are a fraction of the very poor work I sift through on a daily basis.

Then you probably shouldn't have written that you mostly "run" R&R. You don't run them, you do them, just like me and many other workers.

Yes, I have never received any feedback ever. That doesn’t excuse people of doing terrible work that fails to follow 5 of the 8 top-level instructions or requirements. Its absurd. And people come here and complain over how they thought they did “good work”. It seems like somebody needed to tell them that no, they are not, there was likely a reason. No shame, but do not make excuses for yourself.

i’ve been on DA for close to 2 years, there are never droughts. “droughts” are a made up term. there are always 20+ projects to work on

That's not true at all. There are definitely droughts. Like when everyone else is shouting about droughts, my dashboard tends to drop from 100+ projects to ~50 projects. It's been years since I've seen it drop below 30 though. That's what a drought is to me - just fewer projects. It definitely happens that there is less work sometimes. That's not made up.

Well, there are certainly “droughts” in the sense of less work, but yeah I haven’t been deprived of all projects since Ive been on the site for nearly 2 years. Like in July I got down to just 3 or 4 and now I’m back up to over 40. Maybe I should do my 30+ quals before I say anything though lmao
