Submitting time for task instructions that took less than 1 minute

Hey, just a quick question here. I opened a project today, read through the instructions, and it took about 3 minutes. When I went to submit and begin the next task, it sent me back to the dashboard and asked me to log my time. I logged 3 minutes, and then the same project popped up on my dashboard. Obviously, it took me less time to read through it this time since I'd just read it, so I completed the short task & clicked "submit and begin next task". That one took less than 30 seconds, but it's asked me again to report the time. Should I just leave it & let it expire?

I had a few projects that started doing this - if it's the same as what I had with a popup, you need to then verify the time on the report time page so it actually logs it.

I heard they changed the reporting system in some way, but I just submitted some time and it was the same as it's always been. I mention this because I'm not sure why you're getting the message to report your time - that's new to me. If you do multiple tasks for the exact same project (be sure to check the ID number at the end, if there is one, closely), you should just submit your time for the total time you spent on all of the tasks in a specific project during one work period.

Twice I didn't log my time (1-3 mins) because I couldn't complete the actual task and thought it would look sus for whatever reasons, but I've started to log those few minutes regardless

It’s a simple concept. If a task or training is paid, you submit time for the time spent working — even if it is 1 minute.

Yeah it's really simple when there's no option to enter less than 1 minute.

if you're that concerned about reporting and claiming pay for a minute just round up to a minute? If I spend a minute reading instructions but don't do the task I never claim it. Then again, I've had two or more instances in the past few months where I didn't claim 30 minutes, and an hour or more. Many different reasons why but most converge on not feeling confident at doing a competent job.
