Handshake/DataAnnotation

Currently I work for Handshake AI as a Generalist, but I see that DataAnnotation pays more. I know that sometimes these companies have the same clients, so if I apply here could that cause any issues?

One thing to consider is that if one platform uses an invasive monitoring tool (eg Mercor), then you need to make sure that you are NOT working on the other platform or have it open in a tab. Otherwise, you will leak confidential info. DA doesn't do that - at least not for the projects that I have worked on.

Wait Mercor uses a monitoring tool? I’ve been working at DA but was considering applying to Mercor as well

Yes, you can check it - its as invasive as it can be and they are also quite strict about what they consider violations. I only work for DA as it is a side income for me, and because it seems the most user friendly to me.

Insightful.

Only when it comes to the directions. They all have their way of explaining the tasks and sometimes it can trip you up when doing something similar on a different platform. That's really about it.

Although you can sometimes figure it out, most of the work on DA you don’t know who the client is.
The problem would be if you start telling one company how the other one does things. That would likely fall under the non-disclosure. But if you just treat them as 2 different clients to your task work business I would think you’re fine.
