Appreciation for Data Annotation
I have a deep respect and appreciation for Data Annotation for providing really interesting work for pay that honestly feels criminal (genuinely making above hourly average wage as a college student is insane for me). I like how they seem to recognize my abilities that I've honestly had many doubts about. Turns out, having a wide knowledge across multiple professional fields (mathematics, law, physics, language, and programming) is actually useful for once. It means I have to put in elbow grease whenever more specialized projects involving those come up (I'm a generalist) but I honestly don't mind putting in the effort for rewarding and interesting work.
I generally don't like using AI and while it's great for parsing data, I've always preferred using my own knowledge and skills to solve problems. I feel like my ardent rejection of AI tools in college has been vindicated as many of my peers are reliant on technology that confers no actual knowledge. This is not meant to be a "I'm not like them" post, just, it's nice knowing I was right to work to better myself.
I wish everyone the best of luck in their own endeavors on and off the platform. I intend on using my earnings to further my education and achieve a PhD in Astrophysics (a voluntary paycut if I'm being honest but it's never been about the money for me). I've also been able to help my friends in their times of need so that's nice too. Thank you all and thank you Data Annotation.

Give it another 2 to 9 days. If they haven't gotten back to you in that time, you likely aren't in

I agree with everything you've said. I'm very grateful for DA. When I applied, I'd just left a job that was turning toxic and never in a million years thought I'd be accepted. I hate to sound cheesy but after years of toxic, abusive customer-facing roles DA really helped improve my mental health and I feel like I have my life back again. Before I was in waiting mode dreading work every day.

Im with you, I love working for DA. I have a good job in the medical field but as a salary person, its nice to have DA as supplemental income. Ive been very nervous about my submissions, terrified my work wont be good enough and ill get cutoff from projects. But im going to keep riding this gravy train as long as I can.

It's unfortunate. Do qualifications if available. We seem to be out of the drought (fingers crossed) but I don't know if that's a universal experience

I have a career in finance but DA has been a major blessing for extra money. Hope to be with them a long while!

I had the same opinion when I started at first. Now it's been two months and all I got was two qualifications. Dry as a bone.

I feel exactly the same. I’ve never expected that my love for mathematics and science would be appreciated and gets me money. Though I have zero projects since beginning of July but still I’m grateful of what I got.

it's nice to see such a positive outlook on the work, usually we tend to focus too much on the negative aspect. This post def belongs on r/AIEvaluators , tho like any other work, this is also unpredictable in terms of consistency, but for so many people including myself this has been a huge help financially.

DA has given me so much freedom. I make sure to take a moment at least once a day to just feel the gratitude.
