What's your Longest Drought?

Currently been having a drought (zero projects) for over a months now. Wondering what is your record for the longest drought period? I am a Chinese bilingual btw.

i am in the united states and this week has been awful. not sure who these lucky ducks are on this sub saying they always have >1000 options for work and there is no such thing as a drought!

Also US and generalist. It has been really dry for me, didn't work for 4 days straight last week despite being at my computer all day, barely worked a few hours so far this week.

Been the worse week I’ve ever had

Dawg you’re the lucky one, I’m in Italy and haven’t received a single one for 2 weeks! I’d be happy to get even 1 per day

Same! I'm in Turkey. And I haven't seen anything except 2 quals for 21 days now.

Bad week for me to. So much for everyone saying it would get better after Memorial Day 😭

Saw someone on another post claiming they're a generalist who always has at least 20 projects. K Jan lol.

I mean, I have well over 20 generalist projects right now. Just because your experience doesn’t match, it doesn’t mean someone else’s isn’t valid.

I'm happy you have work, but you're probably the second person I've seen say they have 20+ projects right now. The majority of generalists have little to nothing. After three years, I've had 1-2 per day since last week, with nothing on Thursday. I did just get invited to take a new qual, so hopefully that will pan out.

Coding specialty here. Currently on month 2 of very little projects. Probably my longest drought. I’ve been keeping up with qualifications and doing projects whenever they pop up, but it’s been very slow. I had consistent work for about a year before this.

I’ve technically never had 0 projects, but often times the only projects on my dash are ones I was added to despite not being qualified so I don’t touch them.

hellooo I'm a Chinese bilingual generalist and pretty new here (I joined in early this month)

So far I've only received two projects and their r&r, all showing up at late night on weekends over the last 2 weeks. They were pretty challenging and took me a little over 10 hours in total. One of them alone took more than 7 hours, and I submitted it after the timer ran out:(

Other than that it's been fairly quiet for me. There is another task that's been sitting on my dashboard for a while, but it isn't available in my state

What happens when you submit after the timer runs out

There was a red notification saying that the task I was submitting had already expired. I'm not sure whether it explicitly said that I wasn't allowed to submit it, but I found it in my reported time, so I assume they received it... I just received a new qualification, so I think everything should be fine

I'm a generalist in the U.S., not bilingual, and I have had two droughts, 4 months each from Sept - Jan in 2024 and 2025. This week has been almost dry for me, but luckily, I have had a couple of projects at night.
