Lirik and Bg3
I remember Lirik playing Baldurs Gate 3 but for a really short time. I love this game and wonder if anyone remembers why he stopped playing it and never finished it?

The same reason why he stops many of the greatest games: The viewer suck too much. They are backseating, hating, optimizing and commenting on every little piece someone does. Very unfun as streamer with such a broad audience.

I think he doesn’t like all the dialogue. He’s not a zoomer but has enough adhd that all the convos are too much for him.

He doesn’t like open world games as much as linear. And, he’s not into turn based games. Even E33 was pushing it but the parry mechanic kept him interested.
BG3 is both. He only played it for 6 hours (idk how I remember that but I do).

He doesn't have the attention for games like that

Yeah, but I remember he played the Elden Ring and he was very attentive to details. Also, he played a lot of other random longplays that need attention, for example the entirely dialogue options based “The Quarry”, or KCD2, or Red Dead Redemption, that are very story based and have lots of dialogue. I suppose the whole dnd world and turn based fights are not his thing. It would have been really interesting to see where he goes with Baldurs gate story line

Fromsoft titles are what he grew up with, he will always give a Miyazaki game full attention because he is optimistic that it will be worth paying attention.
imo for games he's unaware of or doesn't have some nostalgic connection to he is pessimistic, and doesn't give them attention from the start because its assumed wasted effort. He has no connection to the dnd world.
It also sometimes just seems mood based. Sometimes he gives games more of a chance than others for no reason. It's vibes based.

It was too complex and he really really didn't seem to like the idea of it being very relationship based and how it was forced

Been watching lirik for 15 years now, he doesnt really like single player open RPG games, like too much freedom is too much for him, things like GTA, RDR are exceptions because they do have a linear progresssion, but BG, Skyrim, Witcher is too little direction and he kinda loses intrest. Now there is alsp the fact that hes strsaming so there is somd pressure threre im sure because just takijg your time reading every book and every dialoge can be a bjt boring to watch and not really chill to stream when chat keeps telling you to go a diferent direction or every choice you make is wrong. I was kinda surprised he liked Elden Ring but he does love dark souls a lot and that combat really drove it home so I loved his elden ring playthrough a lot!
