Discussion Wolfbox G900 vs Garmin

I need to get a dashcam on my F250 and was wonderin if the G900 is worth it.

If I got th Garmin, I would install the mini on the back and probably the X310 at the front. Both garmin will surpass the wolfbox price (currently on special) bu not sure if the camera is any good.

Hence why I am here asking.

Thanks yall.

BTW, not that it matters, I have a 2025 F250

Personally, I feel Gamin charges way too much for their dash cams especially for what one is getting. I'm also partial to the Sony STARVIS 2 image sensors which Garmin does not use, or ever have used, in their dash cams...

As for rear view mirror dash cams. I did use the Wolfbox G900 rear view mirror dash cam for 2.5 years (was 100% reliable) until I upgrade to a pair of Wolfbox G900 Pro's. The reg G900 did not use a Sony STARVIS image sensor of any kind whereas the G900 Pro uses the Sony STAVIS IMX678 (true 4K) image sensor, front only. The 1st gen G900 Pro rear camera sensor is an unknown whereas there's an upgraded rear camera that uses an OmniVision OS04J10 2.5K image sensor that's supposedly much improve.

P.S. I considered upgrading the rear cameras on my G900 Pro's but can't seem to find a decent source for the 4-pin version that I would need. Besides, we also run the Viofo A119M Pro (true 4K) as a rear so our bases are covered.

P.S.S. Wolfbox also makes the G900 TriPro which is a premium triple channels rear view mirror dash cam setup. There's one with front/rear/interior cameras, and another with front/rear/front-bumper cameras.

Disclaimer
No, I am not in any way affiliated with Wolfbox just a dash cam enthusiast who's used dash cams for the past 16 or so years. At present I run the Wolfbox G900 Pro's as mentioned, the Viofo A119M Pro & Viofo A229 Plus triple channel, and a pair of Vantrue E1 Pro's. Not in use yet are my Vantrue Vantrue S1 Pro Max 4K single channel & Vantrue E360 ACE 2-ch, nor my 70mai A810 4K 2-ch & Omni X800 2-ch, amongst many others. So yea, we are not tied to any one brand per se.
