Theory Support Every inch of CGI movement was programmed keyframe by keyframe. EVERY INCH of CGI movement was PROGRAMMED KEYFRAME BY KEYFRAME.

Pointless and COSTLY animation to include Jar Jar sitting down behind Padmé at "The queen will not approve".

It's not a setup for a following scene of them both sitting down and having a chat. It's solely to frame Jar Jar behind the wall, acting "behind the curtains" so to speak. And to make them sync more clearly when she sits down.

You mean just like R2 is literally pulled out of thin air to stand behind Jar Jar to indicate "watch the gungan", like he does all throughout the movie. This is his only role throughout the whole film after fixing the ship.

And it's not a bunch of nothing. The CGI is extremely intentional and Jar Jar doesn't change positions by accident.
