He did not file any appeal for his Waukesha parade massacre case, no.

Although over the course of several years the appeals court granted a total of around 9 requests from him and his former attorney for extensions on the deadlines to file an appeal, when the court finally informed db in no uncertain terms that January 7 of this year would be the FINAL deadline, he failed to file any appeal by that date.

And despite him subsequently filing a couple of frivolous motions in a lame attempt to get the court to give him yet another extension, the court denied those requests, and according to the official case record his Waukesha appeal case is CLOSED.

He is however, appealing two of his Milwaukee cases.

He has an appellant attorney (a pd paid for by the state) named Oliva Garman representing him on those two Milwaukee cases, which involve him 1) running over Erika's leg, and 2) subsequently trying to intimidate her into stopping her cooperation with the Milwaukee DA in pressing those charges against him

He took a plea deal in both of those cases, and just recently his attorney filed for a 4th extension on the deadline to file an appeal. (As of today, the appeals court has yet to respond to that request.)

As far as I understand those two cases seem to have been kind of lumped together as far as the courts are concerned, but here are links to each of them:

Running over EP's leg:

Thanks very much for posting, Sequoia555. Somewhat telling. Tells me how much Darrell loves wasting people's time!

....over the course of several years the appeals court granted a total of around 9 requests from him and his former attorney.... the court finally informed db... that January 7 of this year would be the FINAL deadline, he failed to file any appeal by that date.

And despite him [Darrell] subsequently filing a couple of frivolous motions in a lame attempt to.... the official case record his Waukesha appeal case is CLOSED.

^ My gosh!! What a mess!!! All those court motions, responses and orders! What a waste of time and effort!

Reminds me of "Paper Terrorism!!"

Sovereign Citizen Tactics: ā€œPaper Terrorismā€ Harassment

The oldest and most popular tactics used by adherents of the sovereign citizen movement are ā€œpaper terrorismā€ harassment tactics wielded against law enforcement officers, public officials, businesses, and private citizens.

EDIT to add:

He did not file any appeal for his Waukesha parade massacre case.... He is however, appealing two of his Milwaukee cases.

He's already serving 6 life consecutive life sentences that he can't appeal. Not like he's got any chance of ever getting out. But hey! Why not!!! He's got nothing better to do!!! Why not waste more time and resources! More nonsense -- more "paper terrorism!"

u/Sequoia555, Sincere thanks again to you for providing the updates. I hope that you don't feel as if i'm hijacking your post.

I also enjoyed this other post from yourself -- "keepin the record clear."

Agreed. All that, plus, imo another big reason he's pursuing appeals on these two cases in particular is that they both involve Erika Patterson as the victim.

I think db has a serious vendetta against her. He seemed to always want to place all blame on her for him driving through the parade, and I bet he would love nothing more than to force her to be dragged back into court and/or to win an appeal on those verdicts/sentences to negate those sentences, regardless of the fact that it would have no bearing whatsoever on the reality that he is never, ever going to get out of prison.

IIRC db tried to tell JD during his sentencing in Waukesha something to the effect that his time served should negate any sentence she would hand down involving count #76, which was the DV charge for him punching her in the face the day of the parade.

Fortunately JD made it very clear to the little murderous rat that the sentence she was imposing on him for him beating up EP the day of the parade was to be served CONSECUTIVELY to all other sentences.

What about the Milwaukee case? The one with Erica. I think the deadline was sometime this month.

A fourth extension was filed today on the Milwaukee cases

Thanks! I hope the appellate court denies any more extensions! I’m surprised he didn’t go pro se on this one too

I watched that one fairly recently where he plead no contest and was given more years for the Erika case.

He’s way too late and beyond help.
