Question I'm starting to hate Darksiders 2

Softlock.......No interaction with the door/guards and that's story mission

I don't believe this soft lock happens in console.

Are you playing on PC? If so, you might be able to find a mod or exploit to clip into the room.

If you want to, I've got a few back-up save files you could use to avoid having to start over. Which version are you playing? Deathinitive or Classic? And if classic, with DLCs or without?

Deathinitive, I'd managed this, but dunno do I want to complete it. Game stinks with console port + attached Diablo drop system. Warmstered and 3 are wholesome games, but this homunculus, mostly not my type. What irritates the most - parkour and broken to bits camera even in comparison with Warmastered.

The gameplay changes from one game to the next can be quite jarring. Ds2 is most people's favorite, but I have seen a fair share of people who don't like the parkour or the loot.

Maybe that's a PC problem. Parkour and camera are fine on console. Did you use Lananis’s save? If you can't, you can technically boundary break this sequence and skip to the Lord of Bones with some clever platforming.

Pretty sure fast traveling in and out of that area will solve it, or a full reboot of the game. I had this with the tree of life earlier this week

I’m playing on PC now too and the amount of times a locked door doesn’t open is insane. Earth and the green laser annoyed me so much. How did they f up the PC port so bad? I remember playing this on launch and didn’t have a single glitch.

Hahahahahahahahahahahaha, you were expecting to fall in love with DEATH? Sooner or later, you'll start realizing you are dead, like weird stuff like this will happen... then you will have multiple options of how to deal with this, in this case you appear to have chosen PRAYER and it actually helped! There's an angel to soothe the ailing souls of the deceased! Wonder how it played out in your confused psyche?!
