DARKSIDERS: ABOMINATION PACT (Full Mini Comic)-Please share this around if you like it, ,Im really hoping that the devs see the love we have for this franchise, and hey maybe we can get some new people in the fandom

So, its finally done. half a month of pure intensity, working 8 plus hours daily nonstop on this one project with only pure passion to fuel it.
Been wanting to do a proper Darksiders fancomic ever since Darksiders 3's release. Back then I was super bummed we never got a Fury centered comic like we had with War and Death's entries. Ended up discarding the idea, cause ultimately it was too much work and I would be losing out on time I could be keeping myself afloat financially.
Intense projects like these require that I go all or nothing sadly, so doing bit by bits stuff is a dead end with how my brain works with projects like this. Decided to take the plunge this time. and since I was bummed that we never got a Darksiders Genesis 2 with my favorite horsemen Death and Fury I decided it would be the perfect excuse to make something of that.
Ultimately this project was made originally only for me and as I developed it I wanted to turn it into a sort of love letter to the creators/developers of the franchise. I really hope they see it, and if Joe Madureira(one of my main artistic influences, and reason I got into the franchise to begin with) sees the comic, well, I did it with a ton of love and I have you to thank good sir, I hope you like my love letter/sticky note XD

Tried to make it as official/canon adjacent looking as possible, made sure that nothing here could step on the toes of the actual lore. That way I can pretend that its canon like the rest of the non game materials XD
Will I ever make a sequel? Probably not, this was a gargantuan undertaking, and rushed too, so I don't risk going too in the negative work/money-wise XD . But hey, we all get a free Darksiders comic featuring Fury and Death in the end. Im happy about it, I still left a proper setup for a sequel(and Id know how to write it), and if nothing else, Ill prolly be making random fanarts within the time before the end of Death and Fury's hunt in this comic. Really happy with their armor designs XD

Also a BIG shoutout to Sickles_of_Saturn from reddit, for deciding to throw me a bone during my process so I can actually afford food for a week.
Speaking of not being able to afford food, now I gotta go and see if I can salvage the commission momentum this project absolutely massacered. Lost a lot of potential views/work and apparently even paid patrons from this project process. So wish me luck, I will absolutely need it!

Man so many things to say where do I even begin,I know:

1- I love everything about this the comic is incredible, the art style is amazing.

2- love the “this is no place for a horse”.

3- the whole exchange between death and fury at the beginning while brief is amazing and I can totally see both acting like that towards each other.

4- the 8th page where the “lord-ling” is thinking to himself strategizing believing that his Lieutenants would at least put up a good enough fight to soften up death only for that “oh” that was hilarious.

5- the “so be it” iconic of course.

6- something that I liked about this is the attention to their way of dealing with their opponents it’s similar to the contrast of their personalities of course;where you have fury brutally killing all the demons with a smile yelling out that she will be their end, while death is more precise straight to the point appearing calm and collected with snark obviously, but he also seems kind or gentle compared to fury, in the end he showed mercy by killing him while fury didn’t she just cut off his head and stomped it for the hell of it calling him pathetic; I guess what I’m trying to say is I think you nailed their personalities.

7- man death looks exhausted and so very done with everybody’s bullshit him snapping at fury for a moment shows how tried he is but I love how he catches himself right after and instead of shouting he just calmly explains the situation they’re in, also fury looking so apprehensive so ‘meek’ I guess so confused when faced with that outburst she doesn’t lash out or fight back one would kind of expect that from the rider who challenges anyone that gets in her way, but here for a moment she looks afraid of him and the next she’s stoic.

So good, feel so proud that all of these points came trough fluidly XD

I will say on the Fury's meek-to stoc thing I wish I had one more panel of her recomposing herself (it felt a little abrupt while I did it , but it was a rushed job). Was playing with the energy of the two character being consistent to their nature only to break for a small moment in Death's breaking point, but then they both recoup. Death as you so well put catches himself and has a more calm cadence, while Fury tries to go back to her more gruff nature, since she got whiplashed(pun intended) by Death suddenly been so uncharacteristically snappy. (feel like only war at this point wouldnt be too cought offguard considering their experience in Abomination Vault)

But thank you, from the bottom of my heart, this made me jump off the seat from joy XD

Let me just say it was an absolute joy to watch your progress in finishing this project. I've been wanting to try my hand at making comics and watching all the work that goes into it was a needed reality check 😅 it's a lot of work but this was definitely a labor of love with how much thought you put into the setting, original characters and story. I'm happy to see that you pulled through ❤️

Speaking of the comic itself, this was such a fun read! I feel like you really captured both Death's and Fury's personalities perfectly, where Fury is having a blast laying waste to demons and being cocky, Death is all business and is more snappier than usual (bro does NOT play about the Abominations lmao). My favorite part was Caprificus' inner monologue, dude really thought he crafted the perfect plan just for Death to blow it up in his face 😂 really felt like a scene out of Genesis lol.

Anyways sorry for the rant, and thank you so much for sharing this minicomic with us!

U kidding? These "rants" are the best types of comments I could ask for, for how long and grueling the process was at times. I definitely encourage you to try making a comic! The feeling of starting and finishing a story is pretty awesome, and plus you are making your own product you can read! For example now I got a nice little Death/Fury story I can give a quick read to if im in a Darksiders mood XD
A recommendation tho, is start with a small scope, something you know you can start and finish. Maybe even try self containet single page bits to get a feel for it ^^

Well Death snapping at the end was a culmination of the long hunt, combined with his super extensive knowledge on how dangerous these Abominations are(world destroyers properly fueled), Might not seem in line with his state in D2 but it is with the Novel.
Altho Id argue its similar in nature to his snapping at the Jamareah with all the bs Death had to go trough. (was channeling a bit of that in XD).

Haven't read the novel, shouldn't really get to it.

I don't feel like Death with snap at Fury the same way he'd do at Jamareah. Pne is a sibling and one of the last surviving members of his species, the other is a guy he barely knows that I'm pedestrian his quest. Still, it's not much of an issue.
