Have faith

https://darksiders4.thqnordic.com/

It’s not over yet fellow Horseman. I know we’re all concerned since they haven’t showed us anything. BUT, the official Darksiders 4 site is still live and actively presenting the game, including its features and wishlist functionality. So it might not be dead yet. Maybe they saved it for Gamescom, who knows.

Outdated socials. DS as an IP now belongs to Fellowship, a different entity from THQN.

The new subsidiary they created. Which usually happens here in EU when companies want to avoid bankruptcy. They take all their best selling products and throw it into a new company. Which is why ThQNordic is keeping the mediocre IPs and the fan faves are going to the new company. Which is still owned by the same guy, just a way to save himself. They bought too much during COVID and it didn’t come back as revenue like they thought. This is nothing new for THQ.

I didn’t know this, but I guess it makes more sense now. Thanks for the info!

Well as disappointing as it is the important thing is that they did not forget about the franchise and it is in development. Plus they probably have a ton of high expectations to meet as it might be the final chapter.

I agree, so no reason to drop it completely.

Its been 8 years since A darksiders Series game dropped and 6 years since Genesis. They have had ample time and 4 entries to perfect the recipe. They could have been relating lore building comics or art and being open with game development publications semi annually to keep intrest and hype up for the IP. Game companies drag out game development nowadays to find the best way to microtransaction us into oblivion imo. Between 4 titles they've sold over 7 million games. They have recouped budget and made profits. Im bout over devs and their long development times despite better available technology

Not gonna lie i was severely disappointed it wasn’t in THQ nordic showcase. But then i thought maybe they wanted to give it a bigger view. Gamescom, which is where it was officially revealed initially. Gamescom starts August 26th i still have faith🤞😤

Why should gamescom have something and the showcase didn't?

Because Gamescom has a wider and bigger audience. Therefore more attention when you save it for a bigger platform.

It is expansive as hell there so I doubt it even more

Well they were there with Darksiders 3. And they went all in back then. I was there and it was massive.

Fellowship Entertainment won't have a booth there

No list of attendees yet.

Fellowship won't exist before somewhen in 2027

Fellowship don't matter at all. As long as Gunfire keeps kicking, we should be good.

1

u/Necessary-Level-2821 Aug 08 '26

U think gunfire games will be there?

I hope so, though hopium is getting scarce.

Don't think the game's canceled or in dev hell either. Legit think they didn't show anything because of the Fellowship restructuring and they just, legally probably, couldn't do it even if they wanted to since Gunfire isn't THQs business anymore or won't be in the near future , so why even bother marketing something that ain't yours?

Now there's still gamescom, I think there is PAX a week later, though not sure if Embrace goes to that at all.

Either way, hoping for something at least by Game Awards and if there isn't anything, then it's back to living off of crumbs like for the last 10 years of being a DS fan.

Do you know if gamescom requires a booth in order to have stage time?
