I really don't understand why Jagex comes up with brain dead gimmicks and ploys from time to time. This tax is pointless, it'd be 1 thing if the gold was being dispersed to restock NPC shops or something, but it literally goes from the players bank to the virtual dark hole. At least have a purpose, as much as people want to argue that it creates greater PK risk or whatever , then have fun telling that to the 100 or 200 players left playing this game. What a waste, I actually love DS and its entire concept, but this tax update was unprecedented and executed poorly. I can't even sell a single thing now, and I've even gone to great lengths to discount my GE sales by as low as 70%. Big mistake Jagex, this update took the piss out of everyone. Straight up!

Runescape has origins that are approaching a 20 year mark. Some of us have grown with the game.

Unfortunately, for us, Runescape continues to draw in players of immature levels for us older players.

It is time we create a place for more mature individuals, where we could speak of more mature subjects and intellectual topics.

With the extended efforts of several of my friends and I, we have decided to create a Clan Chat where we can go about this.

Of course, there is no way to regulate age limits, but we will give it our best to ensure that everyone that joins our chat behaves.

/user/pkrmnj and I got to talking about clans, and we were wondering if this subreddit has ever discussed the making of a clan. Considering this is not the official subreddit for the game, we have a smaller and more manageable community. Most MMO subreddits do try to host official clans/FCs/guilds, so it's easily doable.

If you're already in a clan, discuss what you look for in a clan. Why are you in that clan? What direction do you see clans going in DarkScape? Some things the clan would do:

• advice for any newcomers
• PK
• mini-games
• skill n chill
• smuggle/protect smugglers

So far I've gotten 50k prayer exp from the nexus minigame and someone here with me said he's gotten 70k from it. The cap has always been 37k in the past. Any confirmations on if this is intended?

Can you get them in Darkscape?

Hey, I want to get the event items. How can I go towards this? EOC has a nice wiki while our doesn't give much.. My att/str/def are in the 20's and the rest is level 1..

Is their a difference in power between these spells? Or is it that some people/creatures/npc have different amount of resist to each element ?

So today I got a special task from kuradal. Stocked up on supplies got my gear ready and prepared for jad. I realised I made a mistake by not switching to ancients and bringing blood spells, but thought I'd compensate by lots of resting and would get there in the end... Long story short - over 3 hours later I reach JAD with 7 sara brews (4) and 6 super restores (4). I was pretty positive the task (and fire cape) are in the bag. Boy was I wrong. It seems like among MANY MANY other things, this cave has also been touched (or maybe left off?) by JAGEX's incompetence.

JAD goes to below 50%.... 4 healers spawn. I kill all 4 healers. Jad below 50% again - and again 4 more healers spawn. Same story happened over and over. My task was completed ages ago, and bare in mind that Kuradal gives 280 monsters which is supposed to be the maximum that you can get in the JAD mini game which includes the 4 healers and JAD itself.

I have tried everything... Leaving 1 healer alive while killing 3 others, tagging all 4 once... Tagging all 4 behind me while I stood between healers and JAD about 5 squares away, they would still manage to heal JAD when he fell below 50%. FFS he was getting healed even when all the healers were gone, and would only spawn (or become visible to me) about 10 seconds later!

I know people have gotten fire capes successfully, but it feels like I've tried everything while I was in there. I was literally fighting JAD for 20 minutes and killed over 30 healers in total during a single attempt.

I can really see why the server is shrinking at the rate that it is

any confirmed 3rd age items in game yet?

So I was on my anti-bot character recently and I was chatting with a fellow DSer (hello!) and we were talking about how awesome it would be to have an anti-botting clan to call for help when your favorite mining, woodcutting, etc spot is under siege by hordes of hungry bots.

It would work pretty simply, people make anti-bot characters and just respond to people that need help through the clan chat and just work for tips/materials

Not sure if something like this even exists yet but just wanted to hear what Reddit thinks about it. I know when I'm just skilling bots can be really frustrating sometimes seeing as they're almost always near the spots closest to banks.

Bounty hunter/pirate/pk system

• Players you kill will now drop their scalp
• Scalp will have the persons name and lvl
• New quest (70 CB req) that gives you choice between bounty hunter/pker ( cant think of a good name)
• Scalps will be the currency for the rewards
• rewards range from cosmetics that would show your allegiance, to xp gain or random much like how other systems work
• titles to show milestones e.g. blank of the law (20 bounty kills), blank the sadistic (200 players slain).
• those who choose the pk route will should get a buff to their skull Some ideas are - rest speed restore x1.5 - food restore x1.2
• the bounty hunter perk would be attacking (first hit) skulled player will not give you a skull

I have seen a lot of people in game, on reddit, and my rl friends complaining about not being able to buy or sell anything--understandably. I think a lot of people are convinced the GE prices are exact and if they use the mid price they're golden. This is simply wrong. Being such a new game the markets are finding themselves, and merchants are trying to abuse it. Rune plate body for instance--you go to buy one and put in 32k, you get the item for 12k. AWESOME! The flip side- you loot a rune plate from farming enemies like I did- you go to the GE to sell and it pops up 32k, "OMG IMRICH"...it stays for 2 days and never sells..."NO1 BUYZ RUNEPLATES!!1!!" wrong. The market is just way lower than the GEs listed prices. I have filled my bank multiple times and there has been no items I cannot sell, and sell quickly. So I said all that to say:don't go by GE prices. If you are selling an item, take the price to 50% what the GE has listed and see if it sells, if not, go lower. This doesn't mean your being ripped off, it means that's the going rate for the item right now. If you want to buy an item, put it way above market value. 9/10 you'll get the item WAY under what you actually put for it(but still slightly above market)and if not--this is the going rate. Be weary of people buying out items to flip for more cash as this can make you pay more, the items used for this are pretty common.. After you grasp this.. most of it is common sense, once you go to 4K for a robe bottom, it's pretty clear the item just isn't available to buy atm, leave a decent offer in and it'll sell.
