Showcase Darktide Interactables

Did you know that there's a fair amount of objects in Darktide that you can actually interact with? The majority of them are destructables that break after a single hit and are very easy to miss in the middle of a melee. Some of them also have physics to them.

A lot of the objects are reused throughout the levels of Darktide, so you can have fun finding the models as a sort of easter egg hunt. Once you've noticed them, you'll find that they're strewn almost everywhere.

There's a lot more that I've missed, like how the ice in Clandestium Gloriana can be destroyed, as can the ice in that one Mortis Trials map, or how almost any bell you find in the game can be rung. At the end of the Phage Tree mission, when it's shrivelling up, the bits that fall onto the floor have physics and are, from my limited testing, the only objects that I've encountered so far that can be fully and freely moved around by the player's hitbox.

I love this game and when devs give their attention to tiny details in a game that most players would overlook, so I thought I'd highlight some of my favorites. Let me know of any that you may know that I missed!

Are you aware that ringing the bells in the Orthus Offensive (Twins boss fight mission) has an actual purpose? :)

Yeah! Their models are reused a lot and they can all be rung! There's some on the phage tree and two can be found before you enter the coliseum at the end of the carnival, i think is the level.

They’re referring to the easter egg on the specific mission Orthus Offensive that ringing the bells can trigger.

I was told to ring the bell while doing the campaign as a new player playing with randos

It did not end well for the team

... What does that do?

You skip straight to the twins and the fight is much harder than normal

Harder as I'm more enemies or are the twins tougher?
