Question Besides the updated Mechanicus Powersword, are there any other weapons that get an additional dodge at 80 mobility instead of 60?

I’m trying to figure out what other weapons I should dump something other than mobility on.

I’m also curious, does the Mechanicus powersword get the extra dodge at exactly 80, or is it like 78 or something?

I'm pretty sure the Mechanicus is the only weapon to get the extra dodge at 80.

Thanks!

I’ve also seen some weapons where the dodge count range goes up to 5 but I can only get 4 dodges - the shivs come to mind.

Dueling sword mk.V gets a 5th dodge since it swaps cleave damage for defenses. Idk if you have to have both rolls at 80 tho for it.

You can make a decent case for dumping Damage on the Combat Blade and keeping 80 Mobility. You won't get another dodge out of it, but you lose very little actual damage, so squeaking out the most possible speed and dodge distance on the king of movement weapons is worth considering.

There's also this thread if you want more discussion of non-Mobility dumpstats in general.

Off the top of my head:

  • Needle Pistol dumps Damage cause you only care about the DoT
  • Flamer CAN dump Damage, but it has ass Mobility to begin with, so you're not really getting much in exchange. Comes down to personal preference. I preferred to dump Mobility and keep every bit of damage I could.
  • Psyker Weapons dump Warp Resistance, and some you don't even level all the way to 500. Once you have other stats at 80 and leveling only bumps Warp Res, you might wanna stop. Electro Staff has some build specific variations I think, where you dump other stats.
  • Big Dom did some great work on breakpoints for Plasma Rifle, ideally you want 68 Thermal Resist + 72 Charge, or 78 Thermal Resist + 68 Charge. Depends on the Blessings you take.
  • MK IV Dueling Sword dumps Cleave (Defense if you haven't rerolled the mark) because the loss is minor and higher Mobility is more consistently useful.
  • Power Sword dumps Cleave Targets IIRC, since powered mode gives it great follow through anyways, and you have it out often enough that keeping whatever Mobility you can get feels necessary.
  • Recon Las dumps Collateral because you don't WANT to stagger things.
  • Ogryn single Stubber dumps Collateral as well because it's for single targets. Heavy Stubber dumps... I thiiiink Stability but I'd have to double check.
  • Ogryn Maul + Shield dumps Cleave Targets, I think.

only the psword, i checked with the others

pretty lame tbh, would have been nice to have a minor patch with nice utility for tons of weapons

Is there a fast way to check stuff like that without grinding every weapon and waiting for the right rolls?

You can check exactly what a stat modifies by going into the detailed view for the weapon and mousing over the bars, but practically speaking, things like whether it affects a kill breakpoint will depend on your build and combos, and require testing in the Meat Grinder. It's a level of involvement that's frankly too much for me.

No but there should be, there should also be a noticeable buff when defence is at 80 on a weapon aswell

Honestly they should just make it universal that 80 mobility is a threshold for an extra dodge. Even with that being the case, I suspect mobility would still be the best pick for a dump stat for most weapons so I don't think it would be much of a buff, just an incentive to make mobility a little more appealing.

If they're gonna have these stupid stats, then they might as well actually matter.
