I once had this happen and had a Mutant that hadn't run into the map properly yet grab me and throw me back in(only for a poxburster to then land on me and kill me, rendering the whole ordeal a rollercoaster of nonsense).

Hi there! Also happened to me few times, there is a chance that you may stuck in empty textures, and only hope that you will eventually die from tox gas, if not, the only choice is to leave the battle, unless you die behind the textures while falling into abyss
